Eadweard Muybridge Zoopraxiscope

Eadweard Muybridge invented the Zoopraxiscope in about 1879. Muybridge created this device so that he could use images from his studies to project with the magic lantern. This device was used as an earlier method for displaying motion pictures. This was one of the first types of animation. It is made of a rotating glass disc with drawings on it. When the glass disk was turned the pictures being projected would have the illusion of motion The images projected out the magic lantern would have a size of 16-inches. Eadweard Muybridge invention paved the way for modern animation in the world.
