Closed Composition Using Shape

In this project we used different patters to show different lines of shadows on my face in a closed composition. By creating similar lines between the positive and negative space it causes the eye to move between them, in order to create a visual dynamic. The repetition of different lines in different directions helps divide the piece into different units of shading. In left side of my piece I shaded dark black to keep it at 50/50 contrast. This increases the noise of my over all piece.
