This is a review on Colin Miller’s frame exercise for our Production 1 class.Colin’s first shot is a Symmetric shot done in a hallway where he lives. The photo is pretty much symmetrical except for the fame red fire alarm light in the top right hand corner. Something intersing about this photo is that is seemes to go on forever due to the dark lighting at the end of the hall.
The next photo his took was a Asymmetrical of a common are in his building. Even though there are things that are different with in the photo this shot seems to more Symmetric.
The close up shot is is a shot using roommate centered in the middle of the frame. This photo gets up close and personal to give viewers a closer look at him then most would normally get.
Colin’s balanced with weight of gaze is a nice shot of his roommate filing the empty space of the frame with his gaze. The gaze seems really bland so it makes me wonder where or what he is actually looking at.
The last shot is a long shot of his roommate in their room. This shot alignes his roommate on the first vertical third of the frame. I think this shot could use a little more space above his head roommate.
